Actuellement en résidence : JC POLIEN
David Altmejd a en réponse à l’espace fascinant de la salle du chaos réaliser six sculptures de taille humaines en plâtre dentaire, réparties en différents points hauts de l’espace. A la manière d’anges ou de gardiens venus se poser là, à l’abri du monde. Ces créatures fantastiques issues des rêves de l’artiste croisent divers imaginaires où se mêlent références bibliques et science-fiction. Elles ont été inspirées par la légende des Néphilim, les géants du livre d’Enoch, nés de l’accouplement de femmes terrestre et de créatures venues du ciel. Peut-être des anges extra-terrestres venus tout droit de la préhistoire.
